Shrimp Toasties

Ingredients

Makes: 32 toasties

Cook: 19 minutes

  • 1 bag (16-ounce) Hawaiian sweet bread, King’s®

  • Butter-flavored cooking spray, Pam®

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil, Dynasty®

  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic, Garden Gourmet®

  • 2 cups frozen, peeled, and deveined, medium shrimp (no tails), thawed and chopped

  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce, Kikkoman®

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar, Marukan®

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped

 

Directions

 

Preheat oven to 350°. Trim top and sides of bread. Cut 8 slices from loaf; cut each slice in half. Cut each half diagonally to make four triangles. Repeat to make 32 triangles. Place bread on 2 baking sheets; spray bread with cooking spray. Bake 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on a wire rack. Increase oven temperature to 375°. In a saucepan, over mediumhigh heat, heat the oil. Add garlic and chopped shrimp; cook and stir mixture 2 minutes. Stir in soy sauce, lemon juice, and rice vinegar; cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat and spoon into a bowl. Stir in mayonnaise and cilantro. Spoon shrimp onto bread. Bake 5 minutes or until warmed through
