Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork Sliders
4 red bell peppers cut into 1/2-inch strips
3 lbs boneless pork shoulder (butt)
Salt and pepper
1 bottle sweet & tangy sauce San-J®
1 can crushed pineapple 8 ounces
1/2 cup chili sauce Heinz®
Slider buns, for serving
Scatter bell peppers over bottom of a 5-quart slow cooker.
Season pork with salt and black pepper. Place, fat side up, on top of peppers in slow cooker.
In a medium bowl, stir together San-J® sauce, pineapple, and chili sauce. Pour over pork roast. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours.
Remove pork and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain cooking liquid into a bowl and defat, but reserve solids. Pull or chop pork and recombine with defatted liquid, bell peppers, and pineapple. Toss to coat well.
Serve pulled pork mixture on slider buns.
