Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork Sliders



  • 4 red bell peppers cut into 1/2-inch strips

  • 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder (butt)

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 bottle sweet & tangy sauce San-J®

  • 1 can crushed pineapple 8 ounces

  • 1/2 cup chili sauce Heinz®

  • Slider buns, for serving


  1. Scatter bell peppers over bottom of a 5-quart slow cooker.

  2. Season pork with salt and black pepper. Place, fat side up, on top of peppers in slow cooker.

  3. In a medium bowl, stir together San-J® sauce, pineapple, and chili sauce. Pour over pork roast. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours.

  4. Remove pork and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain cooking liquid into a bowl and defat, but reserve solids. Pull or chop pork and recombine with defatted liquid, bell peppers, and pineapple. Toss to coat well.

  5. Serve pulled pork mixture on slider buns.
