Full-Bodied Bliss

Ingredients

Makes: 1 drink

  • 4 ounces chilled Merlot, BV Coastal Estates

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 4 ounces chilled soda

  • Champagne grapes

  • 4 Egg Whites

 

Directions

 

Fill an oversized wine glass half full with ice. Add 4 ounces chilled Merlot,  fresh lemon juice, and sugar. Stir gently until sugar dissolves. Add chilled soda water. Gently stir to combine.

In a large bowl beat 4 egg whites using a fork or whisk. Using a clean brush, paint grapes with egg whites. Immediately roll it in superfine sugar; gently shake o_x001E_ excess. Dry sugared fruit on waxed paper for at least an hour.

Drape a small bunch of sugared grapes over the edge. Serve immediately.
