Spiced Wassail


Makes: 16 drinks

Cook: 4 to 6 hours (Low) or 2 to 3 hours (High)

  • 6 inches stick cinnamon, broken, McCormick®

  • 12 whole cloves

  • 6 cups water

  • 1 (12-ounce) can frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate

  • 1 (12-ounce can) frozen raspberry juice blend concentrate

  • 1 (12-ounce can) frozen apple juice concentrate

  • 1 cup brandy

  • 1⁄3 cup lemon juice

  • 1⁄4 cup sugar




For a spice bag, cut a 6-inch square from a double thickness of 100-percent-cotton cheesecloth. Place spices in center of square, bring up corners, and tie closed with kitchen string. In a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker, combine water, juice concentrates, brandy, lemon juice, and sugar. Add spice bag. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for4 to 6 hours or high-heat setting for 2 to 3 hours. Remove spice bag. If desired, garnish with additional cinnamon stick.
