Coffee Waffles


  • 1 packet instant coffee Nescafé® Taster’s Choice™, 0.07-ounce

  • 1/3 cup hot water

  • 2 cups all-purpose baking mix Bisquick®

  • 1/2 mini chocolate morsels

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1 egg large

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • Syrup

  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate morsels garnish, optional


  1. Preheat oven to 200°. Preheat waffle maker; grease with oil or spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, combine coffee packet and 1⁄3 cup hot water, stirring until coffee dissolves. Add baking mix, chocolate morsels, milk, egg, and oil. Whisk together until well combined.

  3. Cook, in batches, according to manufacturer’s instructions. (Instructions and times may vary.)

  4. Carefully remove waffles from waffle iron and keep warm in oven. Serve with syrup. Garnish with chocolate morsels if desired.
