Ingredients

Makes: 4 servings
Start to Finish: 13 minutes
Cook: 5 minutes
  • 4 (1-ounce) envelopes hot cocoa mix, such as Swiss Miss

  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee

  • 3 cups half and half

  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur, such as Bailey’s

  • 1/2 pint heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a medium pot over medium heat, warm the half and half until it is steaming, do not let it boil. Whisk in the cocoa mix, instant coffee and coffee liqueur. Keep warm while you whip the cream.

  2. In a cold bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until it forms soft peaks. (can substitute whipped topping)

  3. Serve the cocoaccino in mugs dolloped with whipped cream and garnished with chocolate shavings.
