Racetrack Tailgate
There's nothing more exciting than a day tailgating with your family and friends. It's an all-American tradition that I truly enjoy. To rev it up a notch, celebrate with this NASCAR-inspired gathering. Fiery red burns brightly against the contrasting white to create the perfect atmosphere while watching the cars zoom by you. Whether you're throwing a birthday bash for a NASCAR dad or brother, you can transport the entire family to the race course with this fun tablescape, and hot off the grill meal.
Accent Pieces
Spruce up the table with red and white silk flowers to look fresh even under the sun. Arrange the flowers in empty tin paint cans. Using a leverage with a four-way divider, place the floral cans in between the dividers to complete the arrangement.
Centerpiece
A store-bought cake embellished with Red Hots® and two red-and-white flags make for a simple, yet statement centerpiece. Place it on top of a wheel rim for extra height in the center of the table as the perfect racecar tribute.
Favors
Place Settings: The red and white place setting matches the festive checkered tablecloth. Stack red and white plates for each course on top of a charger hub cap so that guests will feel part of the ride. Hold the napkins together with a hose clamp for an extra hardware touch.
Place Cards: Create place cards by sticking self-adhesive labels to red cards. Attach a pin to a spark plug, and use double-sided tape to stick the back of the place card to the pin.
Food and Drinks
All the cheering is sure to get stomachs hungry. Fire up the grill and fill 'em up with my hearty Black Pepper-Crusted Burgers with Mustard Sauce and juicy Carpetbagger Steaks.
